Re: MY FIRST COMPOSITION WITCH HOUSE

Definitely off to a great start.

I dig it, drums (kick, snare/clap) could be louder. I'm not sure about that crash, great first song though.

Re: The crying woman in WePt (by S4lem)

Nevermind, I found the song on youtube. Also, it's generally bad form on music production sites (even the internet in general) to list samples that are used if you or someone else does figure it out. It could end up causing the artists a lot of legal grief. Most people (all these days maybe) are usi...

Welcome to the forums.

Can you post a link to the song, I've never heard it.

Re: Just finished a new song (Thisisit - WiTcH TuHu)

I agree, bring that kick up so its the foundation of the rhythm and whole track (instead of the fast rimshotty thing) and a crunchy ass clap would set this off. Really good track already.

Re: Feedback, please? (Updated)

Definitely a lot better, really like the shorter length and you've done a great job getting that sub-bass and the kicks to work well together.

Re: Feedback?

I like it. Not bad at all for a first try. It does seem a bit long compared to how much/little is going on though. Are you going to add samples/vocals?

I liked it up until the wobble bass, but I just don't like wobble bass, so that's not your fault. Keep it up.

Re: for those working with DAWs- your preferred vSTs

I can't recommend TAL's plugins enough. TAL Uno-62 is a superb Juno emulation. He bassline (SH-101) plugin is sick too. His effects are awesome, and most are free (except for the UNO-LX, which is definitely worth the money).

Re: Program to make witch house

We (TR∆PZ) use Ableton Live and hardware synths/effects. You can use anything that you can load some 808 drum samples, that has synth/s and manipulate audio (for the vocal samples). I like Live because we can do it all in the same program and share files back and forth. Whatever you decide on, just ...

Re: trying to warm up my sound

Record out to tape hot (cassette or micro-cassette) and record it back in. If you are using live, the saturator device can warm up the lows pretty well. You can put that on your master or set it up on a send. PSP Vintage Warmer can work well too. Basically anything that adds some mild distortion/com...
