Re: SF † 5-26-11 † TEAMS, RΛIN, BEN TUNDRA † FREE
thanks for the suggestions! venues in SF are tough -- there aren't a lot of good spaces that are the right size for us right now. Bottom of the Hill primarily does live shows, as far as i know, and we want this to be more of a dance party with some live sets. Rickshaw and Du Nord are great, but too ...

Re: Any local witch house scenes?
Well my comment was directed towards SF goth/industrial clubs in particular. I lived a long time there; I believe I can say this! well yeah, you have a point :P. but the DJs were mediocre long before the crowd dropped off :). the goth/industrial scene in SF has been getting stale for years, and it'...

Re: Any local witch house scenes?
Re: Mixing in Witch House... One big criticism I had of the goth scene djs, and why i mostly quit going to those nights years ago was that they would play all of this aggro trance kind of stuff, and they'd play the WHOLE 5-7 min mixes of tunes without mixing AT ALL. I don't mind of mixes sound a li...

Re: Any local witch house scenes?
i think when to beat match depends on the tracks and the kind of set you're playing. if you have people dancing and you want to keep up a good flow, beatmixing can help maintain smoother transitions between songs. but it only really makes sense if you're playing tracks in the same tempo range -- whi...

Re: Any local witch house scenes?
I'm not against techno and certainly have nothing against the Gegen people. I see the passion they have for the aesthetics and I admire them. For me in this city you don't need to try very hard to go to a techno party, for that reason I don't go out very often unless the night has the potential to ...

Re: Any local witch house scenes?
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=204535512900671 There's been some talk of doing this somewhere else that can go later, but I don't think that has been determined yet. I'll probably play a mix of: dubstep, breakcore, techno, industrial, noise or whatever (witch house?) nice -- looks like you'l...
