Re: New to the forums and new to producing WH.
It's a good track, I kinda get what zin means, it's a lot more upbeat and major key than most stuff labelled as witch house. Then again I kind of thought the very idea of witch house was more of an aesthetic similarity than sonic trademarks.

only like 7 songs? I know a lot of submissions did not make it, is there a chance to hear the rest some day ? i feel a bit let down by this to be honest... Well, mine didn't make it, even if it's not made available you can have that off me if you want. I reckon the track selection was the most iden...

Re: Favorite virtual synths?
Cool stuff. Got the Korg Collection VSTs myself, not really got room for much hardware and can't really stretch to justify the expense, and find myself using the MS20 one loads, usually turns up either as the lead bass or just a backup texture at some point. The Glitch plugin gets quite a bit of use...

I've got into his stuff in a big way lately, the man is insanely prolific and does pretty diverse stuff all with a similar mood. Read a list of things he's been involved with (that I know) and it's certainly not to be sniffed at, for the uninitiated it is: Side One of Scum Head of David Godflesh Fir...

Well, I've sent something in too. Should be good to see what makes it.

Re: Neurotic Wreck - Cling Placid - Free album
Thanks a lot! Some of this may be being re recorded, but I've lost the original multitracks to most of them so it may well sound completely different.

Neurotic Wreck - Cling Placid (2011)
Free album: http://neuroticwreck.bandcamp.com/album/cling-placid In a phrase. This is the product of a year and a bit of stockpiling material. Some of it is going to be recorded properly, and putting the contents of this album out there now is just a way for me of not going back and fiddling endless...

Re: rap/hip-hop
Looked up Death Grips and I'm very impressed.
Other than Dalek, I'd recommend Saul Williams to anyone who hasn't checked him out. I thought he was bigger than he was. Niggy Tardust co-produced by Trent Reznor is great, as is his self titled.

That green/earl grey blend sounds fantastic. Caffeine, alcohol (occasionally) and good music are pretty much my only drugs

Re: Scott Walker
I love Tilt. Listen to that or The Drift in a dark room with good headphones on, certainly an experience you won't forget. He's always been ahead of his time, but the thing that seals it for me is how much of a teen idol he once was. Somehow I don't see Gerard Way pulling out a Farmer In The City an...

Hi, my name is Dan, I've lurked here on and off and then just registered. I make electronic music under the name Neurotic Wreck and I've got a few other projects on the go but as Neurotic Wreck's mostly all me and a few non musicians it's quicker to get stuff done, less procrastinating and periods o...
