Just seeing this now (am in SF)...

Truck is an interesting choice of venue based on, um, other things that go on there I've heard about.

But it's good to see more shows in SF again - never got to check out the Elbo Room stuff that popped up and disappeared just as fast.

To be honest, I've lived here about a year now - I'm not a bar person so I was unaware of Truck's previous rep (althought I am now).

Our first party had a good turnout... we didn't make any money (and we probably won't), but they're highly supportive of us and letting us do pretty much whatever we want music wise.

All ages shows still sound good but I'm not so sure theres a lot of under 21s who're into this stuff - especially in SF. I think if we did this maybe in the North or South Bay, all ages might make more sense.

Stuff is still happening at the Elbo Room. Marco de la Vega is the guy responsible and, actually, there's a show this Friday (June 3 - Pictureplane, Butterclock). He does stuff pretty regularly and does bigger stuff like Light Asylum, etc. He's supposedly doing a new monthly at Beauty Bar, too.

heheheh... yeah, Truck does seem to have a bit of a reputation . let's just say we didn't need the shower that's near the bar.... But it's a nice space and a good location. Hope you can come check us out!
