Which is the best program? Which is the best car? Which is the best music?

There are no answers to these questions. If you look into electronic music you'll find that each DAWs has thousands of users who make amazing music with that DAW. So don't worry about it. If you ask people everyone will tell you that the program he uses is the best, and all others suck. Don't fall for that.

It is just a workbench. In the end, you'll use external samples, external synths, external effects, etc. It is really just a workbench. I use FL Studio and I got used to it. Some people say it's confusing, for me, it is perfect. But maybe it's only because I've using it for years.

My best advice is to use the DAW most of your musician friends are using, because then you'll have people to talk to when you don't understand something. An IRL teacher is always better than books or tutorials.

Some people say FL Studio isn't good enough. Well, I'm using it for 4 years, and I see that what holds me back isn't the program I use, but my knowledge, and my understanding of things. So go, get the DAW most of your friends are using and start making music with that.

try acid studio.

i used fl studio sometimes.
my music is like a gothic forest rave, with minotaur lords sipping tea, sirens making out with satyrs and dryads ridding fauns that play with knives and fire.

The DAW is all about workflow and personal preference. i've used FL Studio, Reaper, Acid Pro, Renoise, Reason and am currently running my setup on Pro Tools, which I found to be the best fit for my needs. There is no best DAW, just a best fit.

Also, no DAW sounds 'better' than any other. Just thought i'd mention that, since so many people these days seem to think DAWs color and saturate your sound in some dramatic way.

Ableton is pretty cool, but for whatever reason, we could never finish a track in it, we just fucked around with loops all day.

Since we work with mostly hardware, Acid Pro works best for us, since its really good for working with audio. It sucks for midi & vsti's imo.

Not that we make witch house, but it applies to multiple genres.

FL Studio 11 producer Edition would be the best for quick learning, not as much fuss, and way more user friendly then most other daws.

i have used: ableton live, fl studio 11, lmms. cheers

this!

I'm also a big fan of fl studio but like black wrist said those are all personal opinions... just download some demo's of all the daws and see which one looks the easiest for you...

if you get the hang of a daw without even looking to one tutorial, then you have a winner :)

happy producing ;)
