I kinda see them as different beasts. I've been using Logic for about 5 years as my main DAW. I really only use Live occasionally for live DJ sets where I want to get more involved than I can with something like Traktor. I know tons of people who write and produce solely in Live 8 though. If you're really happy so far in Live I don't really see the need to switch to Logic unless you want to try something new and/or change your workflow.

I have used Logic, Reason and Ableton. Probably did not spend enough time with Logic pro ( about five months ) Ableton scared me at first, but I did the time and watched a ton of tutorials. I have been using Ableton now for over 15 months. Ableton live's live mode kinda blows for production, but is good for playing live. the Action mode is great though. Everything is right in your face and you do not have to click a bunch of extra side stuff to do what you want. A lot of my pals have recently been getting into Reason 7. I guess its rad. I never made it past reason 5. i have logic 9 and Ableton suit 8. I prefer Ableton. Logic is great, but the layout is just to all over for me, just like FL Studios. Mac with Ablton is my game and I wouldn't do it any other way. I guess it all depends. I started on a pc with FL Studios. Once I finally decided to devote time into learning Ableton... yeah I was sold.
