What programs are used to make this music? would really like to make some of my own tracks to contribute to this genre.

Audacity is free. But it doesn't have any drum machine program in it or anything. But it'll do good for remix/sample based stuff, so there you go, it's a start.

i use a very old version of fruity loops (3.5.6.) with some free vst plugins found on kvraudio...
