I would like some constructive criticism for my first track.

Post Posted

Hi,

I have lurked the site for years, but only recently I decide to make an account! I would like some advice for my first track (ways to improve, directions I could take it, general thoughts etc.) All of the sounds minus the percussion were made by me in Native Instruments Massive. I would also like information on chord progressions, and keys that the genre uses. I don't have the best ear, unfortunately.

thanks!

Hey! it's not a bad start, I really like the vibe. My reccomendations would be to get creative with side-chaining. Being that it's such a long track I think it would be interesting if the sidechaining got heavier as the track progressed, it would create a more intense atmosphere for the listener. You could also do something similar with distortion or reverb, simple advice for sure but I think it would it take the track to the next level. Good work.
