Looking for remixers (kit included)

Post Posted

Howdy.

I'm looking for people who would be willing to remix my track "fadewave" for a single that will be released for free download on my bandcamp.

Below is a link to the original track and a kit that includes waves of the melodic elements of the track as well as midi files for those of you who'd like to really switch things up. The waves are unaltered recordings to allow you to throw whatever effects you want on them rather than having to work with the ones I chose. In general you as the remixer have free range, and the final product doesn't even have to be WH.

Original - Teacake - "Fadewave"
RMX Kit - fadewave_rmx_kit.zip

I'd prefer final remixes to be sent to me via private message in .wav or .aiff.

Cheers.

Might have a crack at this. I'm doing a track for Party Trash atm, so it could be a couple of weeks or so. I like the track though, and it seems right up my alley...

what kind ov timeframe are you looking at? i'm currently neck-deep in hyper-industrializing a UCNX song (the drum track is giving me the shits), so i don't want to say i'll do a remix and then not have time, but if deadline is far enough in the future, i'd love to give it a shot.

There is no rush, I'll pull a random deadline out of the air though

Yeah that's perfect :D just over a month.

Thanks for the .midi files too - I love to fuck with the sources of these things. Just stems is a bit boring to work with sometimes...

I whole-heartedly agree. I like being able to apply the melodies to my own instruments.

Erm, how faithful should it be? Mine went off on a bit of a tangent, though it does retain the melodies from the MIDI files.

I really, truly, honestly... don't give a shit.

So long as you use the original material in some way, I'm happy. Beyond that, it's about your vision, not mine, don't limit yourself.

:edit: To drive home my point, I have a couple of RL friends doing Electrohouse and Brostep remixes of this.

Alright, cool. I just finished my remix, how big a wav are you willing to take? I've got just over 100Mb but I can do it at half that if you like.
