no release date for the Handmade Birds white label yet, but as far as I know the tracks are already selected for it, artwork is ready, I guess they just need to press it...

For me this is the first MSV album that actually sounds like a soundtrack to a lost horror movie. Now here one can either like it or not.
I'm not a big fan of slower, new age-y moments of the record (like the warped monologues throughout the record, I felt that they were a bit too long on the whole - I'm more into the music & melody driven parts). On the other hand, I've been playing the album in the background while reading some weird books about Holy Grail and shit like that, and must admit that it strengthened my experience of reading adding spooky mood to it ;) I like what has been done on this record with the vocals, not the "clear" female featuring voices, but the goblin-like whispers, laughs, and unidentified sounds & moans of lost souls :) They all sound really wicked.
The biggest highlight of the whole record is "La bocca..." track, which I assume was the single for a reason - I think this is (or definiely one of) de Xam's finest production up to date. Very dark, 'classic' MSV drum pattern with that hauntingly heavy synth (?) that drags the whole track to another level.
At the beginning I was a bit unsure where I want to put this record in the IT saga, but after spending some time with it, I'm really leaning forward this album as my fav.
