It's very well done. A nice mellow album. Though the Alvin & The Chipmunks vocals seem kind of retarded.

Y'all should probably pick up a copy!

Pitched up, heavily reverbed and/or delayed vocals are pretty common in traditional dubstep, and Balam Acab has some clear dubstep influences.

I need to pick up this CD, BA was the first Witch House artist I found on my own after being introduced to Salem.

I think its an amazing album. I love how he returns to different motifs and sounds throughout. I love pitched up vocals especially when they're interspersed with pitched down vocals. Beautiful album.

After first listen I was disappointed to be honest. His EP had this deep and spacious sound, and the album sounds like it's a bit too polished. I know that Alec said in his Altered Zones interview that he's aiming for more pop-y sound, but I don't think that is a good way to go. On the other hand, as I said, I only gave this album one listen, so maybe it'll grow on me.

This scene needs a bit of polish, IMHO. ;)

I actually wasn't wowed by the first album, but I did "get" where he was at, and I feel that this one really is a natural progression. Today, on awesome headphones, it was particularly good. But there's one track somewhere in the first 5 where the chipmunk'y vocals made me say WTF out loud.

Sadly, my boss is half-deaf, so I had to repeat myself. And my other colleague is recovering from a stroke, so I had to repeat myself again-again. I'm certain HR is pleased!

The Revenant Gospels, vol II by White Horse.

I made a thread about White Horse, but there hasn't been any replies yet.

Wander/Wonder is certainly an excellent release, though.

Shit, ANOTHER local band that I somehow missed! Thanks for the tip; I'll give it a listen later on :)

'Big Boy', and for that matter, the rest of the rest of the See Birds EP gave me high expectations of this. Sadly, I find the vocals just grate on me to a point that I can't really see past them. Going to perservere though, all my favourite albums didn't show me their full majesty on the first two listens...
