This isn't the most fluent, or fluid mix i've ever done, but it's a great glimpse at some killer tunes. Some of my trade secrets are unmasked in this mix. I kind of tried to make it like a sampler giving your mind freedom to imagine. Highly experimental; Fast transistions, new faces mixed into familiar ones, quite unexpectedly-- and vice versa. This copy is straight off a DAT, I literally had to cut the jammed tape off the deck three times (OMGOTZ ZOMA JESUS FTW). If you can make it past the first four minutes, you're well on your way to fun. This copy is unmastered, but more than playable on monitors, headphones, stereo speakers, or pc dolby 5.1 speakers. The perfect solution for a party, for lounging, or browsing. If anyone wants to let me know how it sounds on their PA I'd be happy to accept feedback. The stereo phase is a bit strange on this one at times as this is straight up a live mix bounced one additional time with added compression. Sounds good to me at 100% with a +6DB gain in iTunes, but then again I like to hear all the white noise and crackles, maybe you don't.
That waste back effect you hear constantly through-out the mix is feedback. My board is kind of junk and all of my gear highly ancient. Definitely looking to buy a new board as soon as I have some cash (ANYTHING BUT BEHRINGER -- PLS !! )
This mix is worth downloading just to hear "When I was A Lover" by Jewels Of The Nile and my remix of White Ring's "Roses" in action. If you haven't grabbed the Jewels Of The Nile track off last.fm, you will after you hear this mix. Can't wait to hear more from these girls.
