Surprised there is not a thread about Screwed and Chopped style stuff yet. DJ Screw codeine hazed, dragged out, slurred hip-hop. Immaculate Collectives recent Nate Dog tribute tracks felt particularly screwy and there are lots of chopped and screwed aesthetics in Salem's tracks. Planned Parenthood, on Hands Hold by GuMMy†Be▲R is really cool too.

I'd like to see more unusual aspects of chopped and screwed though, more guitar tracks slowed down, more experimental stuff ( maybe point me in the right direction here?? ). Screwed gangsta rap is cool but I'd like to see the other stuff, there's a great guitar solo on DJ Screws Duck Sick mix tape ( I think ) that has a lovely, fluid, slinky, liquid feel to it.

viv... I agree.. this needs a thread but forgive my ignorance: What is "Drilled" ?

"Drilled" is probably just another way to say screwed. I remember one DJ would call his mixes "Dragged and Chopped," another "Chopped not Slopped," another "Slowed and Throwed," etc.

As far as "normal" / rap screwed music goes, two of the best screwed albums I've heard are Devin The Dude's first album and the Odd Squad album (Fadanuf Fa Erybody).
