avatar for a new member

Post Posted

I sure am having a biznitch of a time trying to set my avatar. I 've looked through the FAQ, no help there. I've tried copying and pasting URLs, dragging pics from my desktop, nothing is working for me. Help, please?

I resized my avatar to 150x150 on PS and uploaded to tinypic dot com. then copy pasted the url-> UCP>Profile>edit avatar> to link off-site, and voila.

I have had the same struggle lol, I tried 5 different hosting sites with autodetect and manual pixel input, with 150x150 to 600x600, and tried your method last with tinypic. The closest i got was " we can not detect your pixel size, verify the URL" or something to this regard, all other tries are invalid URL. I'm sure there is a simple fix, but it is beyond me.

Solution for Desktop/Laptops:

the easiest thing is to upload the image to IMGUR
https://imgur.com/

once it's uploaded, right click on the image, and select Open image in new tab. that should give you link that looks like:

Code: Select all

https://i.imgur.com/0EyV6m.jpeg
which can be then added to the Avatar field.

However if you still have an issue, just drop me a msg with the image you want to use and I can add it

Thank you Zin, this worked for me, however I had to manually add .jpeg to the image link at the very end, and also had to add the frame size.
