Dissociative Heaven
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0192194/
A portrait of the effects of schizophrenia on family life is the central focus.
I really love the way this movie is shot and the way it cuts; for example there is one scene in the movie where the camera is placed in front of the main characters head as he walks through town in a nightmarish haze while it jump cuts almost as if it was shot in stop motion. It also makes me hawt because it has Oval in the soundtrack.

It has major potential for being witchy.

Anything by Harmony Korine or involving Werner Herzog is automatically a favorite in my book, this is such a great film - as is Gummo.

I especially love the hose scene: "Be a man and quite that! Come over here!"

LOVE this film. Probably seen it 20 times with friends since it first came out on dvd in 2000.
As much as I really like how gummo gets under your skin, there's something unnerving yet hilarious about this.
I remember years ago I used some samples from it for an old noise project

i hated kids when i saw it years ago and for a long time avoided harmony korine's films but then i saw this one about 2 or 3 years ago and loved it so i went ahead and watched gummo and kicked myself for not having seen it sooner. still havent rewatched kids but im in no hurry either. but yeah, julien donkey boy was a great movie.

Julien Donkey Boy is a good one , but if you want a " real " movie , i mean a guy who filmed himslef for like 10 ( or 20 ) years , look at " Tarnation ".

You'll not be disapointed !

Tarnation is good, if not a tad egotistical. Harmony Korine's films always find a way under my skin like a tick. Kids, Gummo, Julien Donkey Boy, Mister Lonely. Haven't seen Trash Humpers or Spring Breakers yet though.
