Re: black metal
I'm really into that new wave of 'shoegazy-black metal'-bands.
There's a Split called "The World comes to an End in the End of a Journey". Love every track on that split.

I do too. Shyy are awesome. Shame about the guy behind Ethereal Beauty not being into it anymore. He's broke into doing weird hip-hop/dance tracks(!!).T3NTACL3TR33 wrote:I'm really into that new wave of 'shoegazy-black metal'-bands.

Yoga are amazing. If I hadn't been lurking, I would never have listened to them.BackAlleyLurker wrote:Yeah I got a few Black Metal vinyls and tapes. You need to listen to Yoga. it's like the missing link between black metal and Witch house.
But I'm curious about Black Metal and would like to listen to more, any recommendations for beginners to the genre?

Re: black metal
I'd recommend the self titled release by "Murmuure" though it's not strictly black metal it's something that, like Yoga, should interest people from this board.

Ta very much WIK/\N. I'll be sure to check them out.
Re: black metal
Yea, I'm gonna be that noob who digs up a month old thread on his first post...
Might I offer up:
Leviathan (my personal favorite USBM act)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqMZ9QwlKGs
Deathspell Omega (Super discordant and odd-time French BM, with some hints of death metal...I've listened to this record probably once a day since it came out last year)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JX6h5RP3GNs
And of course, the mighty Gorgoroth...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1K5zGiz8GC0
Ehnahre, some of you might get into this...If you know what 12-tone music is, this is doom/black/death metal written using odd time signatures and 12-tone rows. Really weird shit.

Re: black metal
Fucking too right. I was blasting some Brenoritvrezorkre the other day. I forgot how shit-awful the production is, but it's seriously some of the most evil sounding stuff i've ever heard. Eldjudnir are sick too.helvete wrote: most of the legions Noire bands from the early 90s
Moevot are what i'm spinning as i type and they're highly recommended, but are more dark ambient to be honest. Proper fucked up though,
