Re: DEAD†CROSS EP
thanks! do you guys think the kicks are too loud in the mix?
Re: DEAD†CROSS EP
Gravedigger - suspenseful and thrilling.
Graveyard - dark and brilliant, I love the keys.
Loveless - again, love the keys and the beat is perfect. The vocal samples are great.
I really like this little release. What program did you use?

This sounds great! Nice atmosphere and haunting melodies.
"do you guys think the kicks are too loud in the mix?"
Not volume-wise, they fit in the mix fine. You do have an excessive amount of reverb on them that kind-of sucks up some of your mix headroom and softens their attack. It works though, the whole tracks have a sort of glazed over feeling. It is very surreal and interesting. An idea for next time though. Don't put these kinds of effects directly on drums. Use routing so you maintain their original tone. It will give you more room to mix and adjust frequencies.

Re: DEAD†CROSS EP
so you're saying to bus the drums to an aux and then just apply one reverb to all of them at the same time?Mcll wrote:Don't put these kinds of effects directly on drums. Use routing so you maintain their original tone. It will give you more room to mix and adjust frequencies.
