Re: BL§§D ØU† - Empire State (2011)
For the life of me I cannot remember how this album leaked in the end - was it AMDISCS who released it or boys from Blissed Out. But fuck me, this was such a let down in terms of promise vs delivery.
I spoke to Alex from the band about it over a decade ago, and he said, paraphrasing, that choosing to collaborate with AMDISCS turned out to be a hastily made decision, which ultimately proved to be a mistake. In October 2010, the label presented an offer to immediately produce a 12-inch vinyl and assist them in organizing a European tour. Once they agreed to it, AMDISCS started promoting and selling the vinyl, but failed to actually manufacture the record. The contract ended up being meaningless because Blissed Out were based in the US and AMD in EU. When they realised that no record is being pressed, the band insisted that the they remove all their material from label's website.
So based on this statement it might've been up on some platforms and someone shared it?
There are still some promos from that time:

The album is a sign of its time, in the context of its zeitgeist it's still quite ok. Blissed Out came out of NY improv scene, gradually drifting towards hip-hop based production, so no wonder that the record is a mix of both. No wave witch house, deep bass, some questionable synths, and ethereal vocals define the LP in a few phrases, but that's obv still a simplification. "Spinners", "Traphouse" and (in some aspect) "Rush" still hold up well.

Had no idea about them, as well as majority of the AMDISCS catalogue. I've just checked the two tracks available in the archive and they sound amazing. zin, would you be able to share the album?
