That was a really nice track, more WH than dubstep, but I definitely felt the influence in the sparseness of the percs and the general song structure.

Too bad Doshy didn't play this when he came over my part of the world (Philippines) earlier this year.

After 2 hours of non-stop listening to womp-womp-womp I'm about ready to start smacking faces. Although, in small doses, dubstep is bearable. A friend of ours is a pretty cool local dubstep DJ and I could totally jam with his brosteppin'. But then again, maybe I'm just bias.

On another note: we're planning on unleashing witch house live during one of said DJ's sets since he could probably get us a spot. Would love to blow people's minds when all that evil and molasses escape through the speakers.

It seems to me that dubstep has come about in the same way that dub itself did in the late 60's/early 70's. It started as instrumental b-sides and has now developed into a fully matured genre, and is now even branching off into sub-genres. I have no really problem with it really, and listen regularly to Burial and Midas King Sound, but i can't get into this bro-step stuff. People are lapping it up now, especially my metal-head friends, who strangely used to rip the piss out of me for liking anything with "electronic shit in it". Little do they know that i used to listen to the shit that they do now years ago when i recorded my mother getting her tooth drilled at the dentist, then went home and played the recording over my 56.6kbps modem dialling up to the fucking internet.

I've noticed too that a lot of people in my area consider dubstep a music type in itself. I heard some the other day say something along the lines of "I like listening to everything, except techno and dubstep" seeing as most unenlightened people use 'techno' as an umbrella term for all electronica, it struck me as odd.

I'm starting to move away from dubstep all together, the pile of shit I have sift through to find traditional stuff just keeps getting deeper and deeper everyday and my favorite DJs who were once my primary source of new release info, have either started spinning more brostep or they've gone in the opposite direction and started playing more post-dubstep. Post-dubstep is neat, but it's not what I'm into.

Another project worth checking out is Kode 9 & the Spaceape. When I first got into the scene, "Kingstown" was one of my favorite tracks, but now they're producing Post-dubstep. It's really interesting to see the difference between Post-dubstep producers in that scene that came from a dubstep background as opposed to an IDM background.

Rad, glad I could supply. Aggressive dubstep is like any sub-genre; it has a healthy amount of shit and crud and associated douchey fans but there's some really great thrashy party music out there as well as more heavy evil shit. You gotta dig a bit but there's more to the genre than just the calmer UK stuff.

SHEKEL is pretty badass too, little touches of grindcore and a dash of satanic influence.

It's the difference between Throbbing Gristle and Nitzer Ebb, man. Both are totally different but still forms of industrial. Sometimes stuff just heads in a diff direction. Though I do think the more aggressive, nazty stuff transcends the older, more stoic stuff.

i'd like to see witch house get some mainstream attention like dubstep because artists would be supported and be able to make a little money and keep doing what they do. the sad part is that most of the time something becomes popular and then gets watered down and dies...

I would like to see Witch House get recognized more often , I do not want to see it hit mainstream so sue me but some times things that have a underground scene are the things with real soul in them or thats what Ive found in my case to be
