First album from Aparition for Aural Sects, an obscure noise/witch/hiphop beats project from Joshua Hedges. I wasn't too hyped about this LP at the time of its release, but it aged quite well. It's a very punk album, in your face, gritty, lo-fi and agressive at times (esp in its first half), but also inspired by emerging post-internet vaporwave and synthwave scenes. Reminds me a occasionally of early Black Ceiling stuff. It also sounds like a Josh was finding his footing here, deciding which direction he wants to push Aparition. If you don't mind lack of flow due to variety of styles, it's a great album and a testament of Aural Sects diversity of sound.
According to AS bandcamp there was an "Aparition" DVD available for purchase here: kunaki.com/sales.asp?PID=PX00REFGR2 collecting video clips from this release. I never got it, wonder how many copies were made. All the MVs can be seen below:
