Re: Which Came First: The Genre or Your Project?
For me WH came first but it made the connection between multiple sounds I enjoyed. I used to listen to a lot of darker synthpop and industrial, had played in a variety of bands ranging from metal to shoegaze to post-rock, and enjoyed making ambient and dubstep music once I got my hands on soft-synth...

Sounds awesome from the description. I love vangelis and almost anything influenced by him. Also vex'd was pretty good dubstep so its definitely good production. I'll have to check this out tonight.

Finally was able to listen to this entire comp and it really is incredible. Thought it deserved a bump. Glad to be a part of such a talented group of producers and musicians.

Re: beautillion - "the myth of modern man" on pale noir
Thanks guys. Awesome to be able to get comments, compliments, and even criticisms from people whose music I'm listening to currently. Thanks wikan that track was the one I was least sure of because I'm not confident singing. Wanted to make one track where I forced it out and going to keep working on...

Re: CD Distribution
kunaki is okay but very limited on your options. 2 page insert, black inside case. Real good turn around time and real cheap but you have to make sure that everything is absolutely perfect on your artwork and music formatting or you will get a crap product and they will not refund orders. I made a s...

Re: The Weeknd - Thursday
I really enjoyed this one, maybe not as much as House of Balloons. I wish I was able to sing even remotely decent in this vein because I would implement it in my tracks. However, I have not been gifted in the least with a singing voice.

Re: I'm digging the new Balam Acab cd
I think its an amazing album. I love how he returns to different motifs and sounds throughout. I love pitched up vocals especially when they're interspersed with pitched down vocals. Beautiful album.

Re: Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?
I'm 29, born and raised in New Orleans, and I was fortunate to have a much older sister who exposed me to a large variety of music at an early age. Because of her and her friends, I was listening to metal, punk, and a lot of 80's synth bands by the time I was in sixth grade. As I hit my early teen y...
