This pretty much sums it up. GRYPT is Romie Romak, Taylor Shechet, Lysandra Ariella (FKA Myrrh Ka Ba). Darkwave/witch house influences interwinded with industrial boldness. Personally I'm not a big fan of this EP, "Flesh Garment" is prob my fav track, sounds like something off a Matrix OST. However, it's the remixes that shine here the most, from synthpunk render of FaceXHugger, to heavy trap from BackXWash, to ravey breakbeat from Rook&Nomie. *chefs fingers* Deathbomb Arc had a 50% sale so got it, but will prob not come back to it soon. I like their earlier works more.In 2020’s THE COST OF LIVING, GRYPT engage in hauntological art terrorism through a synthesis of turn-of-21st-century synthrock and nu metal, referencing another eerie time of cultural shift.
