How exactly do known bands produce electronic/synthesized music? (For example Salem, Witch House etc.)
What specific computer softwares/programs are they using? Are they just regular recording programs (Cubase, ProTools, Garageband, etc)?
What instruments do they use? (special keyboards? or what other electronic equipment?)
What software or instruments do you use to write witch house?
Re: What software or instruments do you use to write witch house?
I use FL Studio. I play around with all the sounds and just experiment. Also, its cool to record your own samples. Like, if you hear something you like on a youtube video, for example, record it and use it in a song.

I use logic 9, apples equivalent to fl studio, and a midi keyboard, as urination said - samples are used as well from various sources.

In general, I use a laptop and Logic 9 with a bunch of plug-ins (especially Kontakt sampler and Arturia emulations) + some hardware—cheap valve compressor, tube preamp, and mixing desk. Sometimes I use live drums, guitar, and bass.

Akai MPC-2000, Roland SP-808, Boss SP-202, Roland SH-101, CasioTone 101, Ensoniq EPS 16plus, Yamaha PSS-170, Zoom RFX-2000, an old japanese electric guitar from the 60's, etc, etc, etc....
