Debut EP from Sheffield-based producer △△△ (aka trngls). Went totally under the radar back in 2011, a moody witch-collage that sits somewhere between Holy Other, Balam Acab and PVNDV, taking inspirations from r&b, ambient, witchhouse, future garage and downtempo music. A few years later someone could probably call this wave. Really solid release, recommended.

Videos to 3 tracks from the EP:

@zin this is a real dope ep. Im just curious as to what defines wave? and also why if you go to witchhouse forum on reddit or search on youtube the music is nothing like say salem balem acab or crim3s. when did that change happen and why?

in this case, it's the depth of those tracks, quite minimal, bass-focused instrumentation and vocal samples that give them very atmospheric flow. the genre wave is more trap-based and a bit faster, but I could totally imagine some tracks from "ℕӐ℧SEA" being used on a wavemob compilation.

this needs like a proper article tbh, but witch house started as a feeling, visual aesthetic and a label for all kinds of genres that have this occult, misty vibe to them. check out this thread for some more insight: viewtopic.php?t=7964
