Re: J-core
I'm interested. Big fan of DHR / Gabba / Speedcore / Extratone here.
Re: J-core
at work right now. will shoot you a PM once i've got something put together.
...and yeah, some ov is basically gabber and speedcore with a few japanese flourishes.

Re: J-core
Definitely some cool shit. I've always liked Hardcore and Gabber, but I've never really owned any. Japan in particular has always had a really weird take on it, it tends to be a lot more manic.

Could I get that comp as well? This is some unique stuff. I dig it.

Re: J-core
I've been listening to mostly UK/Rotterdam hardcore for a few years and I dig it. Not much for happy hardcore or J-core - a little too busy for me - but is anyone else making this music? A few friends and I are making some tracks for free release and heres a few of mine:

The J-core stuff is...wow. I don't much care for it, but the programming is insane...

Re: J-core
as you can imagine Ben, I make speedcore with a band in the UK we used to make noise rock:
http://soundcloud.com/antonmaiof/sets/g ... arch-group
dnb/dubstep/dhr/power electronics influences in there.
oh and the hot dogs stuff is GREAT! total Nasumbluten-esque redicu-core

Re: J-core
The SoundCloud stuff is great - a local guy around here (Brandon Nickell) introduced me to this guy (who is apparently a fairly big deal): http://xanopticon.bandcamp.com/Anton Maiof wrote:oh and the hot dogs stuff is GREAT! total Nasumbluten-esque redicu-core
Nasenbluten is sick, too!
This music is just too much fun to produce. No worry about production methods, gain structure, etc. It's freeing like noise without being aimless.
Also, for the J-core crew: http://soundcloud.com/you-hardcore / Actually feeling these tracks a lot.
Re: J-core
i concur that the hot dogs is my family track was some fun stuff, and thanks for the you link--i'm not entirely sure i'd run into him/them/whatever before.

Re: J-core
I'd like to recommend DJ Sharpnel and m1dy anyone into J-core/speedcore.

m1dy (wish I could find a proper video)

I used to be really into trying to make J-core, though I wasn't particularly good.

Re: J-core
i rather enjoy DJ sharpnel. i couldn't really get that into m1dy, except for remixes and collaborations (so much love for DJ technorch's remix ov 'innoent').
Re: J-core
Yeah, back when I first heard of J-core I torrented a Sharpnel Sound discography and that had some m1dy releases in it, it was awhile before I really got into them.
I'd also encourage anyone into J-core to google the parody genre "lolicore".
