This is the very first release from Aural Sects, released June 14, 2011 it kicked off the label that was a hub for some of the most amazing witch house artists over the years. I Am Water was actually one of the founders of AS. His self-titled EP is a mix of experimental sonic minimalism, that draws from ambient, dub, IDM and techno. No one in their 2022-mind would think of this as a witch house release, I don't think it was even sold as such back in the day, but due to Aural Sects' history IAW was always unwillingly bundled with the genre. I think some of those tracks could easily be mixed into a witchhouse mixtape ("R4INDANCE" for example). Blast from the past.
