SALEM's second EP released on Merok Records in December 2008. Limited to 500 copies pressed on 40 gram red vinyl, it was selling for £3.99 at the time. One of the gems in my collection for sure. Always found it funny/confusing why they had "Redlights" on this EP, after "Yes I Smoke Crack". But all four tracks are iconic, and serve as a proof how amazing it was to have Heather still being a part of the band. Out of all the tracks "Skullcrush" is prob my fav, feels so desolate, skeletal and haunted.
The whole EP can be streamed ou WHTV channel:
lyrics
Are you crying when you sleep
Or do you stay up
jacking off
to the thought of me
it's okay to be awkw~~~~
~~~~something~~~ blah~blah~~~
just like me
Are you crying when you sleep
Or do you stay up
jacking off
to the thought of me
This is an AMAZING record you'll either get, and will change your life, or won't, thus it won't.... This is quite terrifying. Sounding like it’s playing at the wrong speed when really it’s your mind that needs to catch up, this is one of the darkest records you’ll ever hear. Your mum will probably leave the room to speak to discuss your well-being with your father if you play it at home, so save it for a private moment; stick it on, sit on the floor and rock on your hands. Then it makes sense.
