Debut release by Filmy Ghost, aka @yaka-anima's side project, which is described as an extension, metaphorically a doppelganger and a deepening on atmospheric Humanfobia side, focusing on drone noise, experimental and dark ambient.
The self-titled EP is a big deal in a way, as it holds the unique CIOR-01 catalog number - which, if I'm correct, started the Cian Orbe Netlabel.
The 3-track release is a sound experimentation focusing on blending the drone and noise worlds, which worked out really well, and is surprisingly approachable for a noise release. All the tracks feel quite cosmic, like a lost trasmission from a space ship that travelled from another galaxy and bounced off cosmic debris on its way. The addition of (quite muted) walls of noise works well and gives the EP a sinister feel. I really enjoyed this one, way more than I expected. Great introduction to Filmy Ghost music, whose discography is really big, so it's nice to have this solid starting point for anyone not familiar with his works.
